There is a strong tradition of student participation in the technical sessions of Acoustics Week in Canada. Prizes and bursaries are offered to encourage the student papers and presentations.
Student Presentation Prizes
Because of the very unique format of this joint 176th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America and the 2018 Acoustics Week in Canada meeting, the AWC student presentations prizes will NOT be awarded in 2018.
Bursaries
Student members of the CAA with accepted abstracts are eligible to apply for bursaries to offset conference costs. Recipients are expected to submit a two-page proceedings paper to be published in the proceedings issue of the journal. Other details on the Student Travel Subsidies can be found on CAA website.
Applying
To apply for a bursary, please fill out before October 1st 2018 the application form. Please note that the option to apply for a student presentation prize should not be selected.
